| WHAT IS WORSHIP
The worship of our Sovereign God is the single most important activity of a Christian. Our
Sunday worship reflects that belief and is significant for our life together. While both the 8:30
chapel and 10.45 sanctuary services are traditional in nature, each is unique and offers
worshippers opportunities to engage with others in praising God. Our 8:30 a.m. chapel service is
short and informal, while our 10:45 a.m. sanctuary service is more formal, featuring our choirs.
First Presbyterian Church highly values the presence of children in worship. They bring gifts that
are important for all and we encourage their participation. A special time at the 10:45 service is
set aside just for them. A children's message is used to help them understand the scripture
passage for the day. That lesson is reinforced as they return to their seats with a children's
worship bag for their use during the service. Children under five can go to the nursery following
the Children's message.
