LENTEN LUNCHEONS SERIES

For the past 30 years, First Presbyterian Church has offered a quality Lenten speaker and

music series to the Hutchinson Community. On each Wednesday during Lent, the 50 days prior

to Easter, a luncheon is held to help focus our minds on Jesus' journey to the cross and to help us

prepare for Good Friday and Easter. Church members prepare and serve the meal as guest

speakers address the chosen theme. Prayer, hymn singing and a special musical selection by

talented musicians are part of the luncheon.

Recognizing that people need to return to work, the entire program is completed by 1 p.m.

Each participant is asked to pay the nominal cost of the meal. People from a variety of churches

in the area participate, making this an ecumenical venture of faith and fellowship.
